Poor In India Worst Hit By Currency Shortages

Massive cash shortages in India due to the unprecedented move to scrap high value currency notes have hit hard millions of poor people whose earnings and savings are in cash. Despite the disruption they face, many back the measure that aims to put a lid on graft and tax evasion, but there are worries that it could put a brake on growth in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
