Merchants in the Pakistani city of Quetta held a one-day strike to protest the killing of a local union leader. Traders closed their shops in the capital of Balochistan Province on November 10, a day after Allah Dad Tarin was shot dead while returning home from evening prayers. Police said the assailants fled the scene after the attack and no one immediately claimed responsibility.
