Afghan officials said at least eight people were killed in two separate attacks on October 14.
Six police officers were killed in an attack on a police post in Baraki district of Logar Province south of Kabul, local officials said.
The Interior Ministry said two civilians were killed and three others injured in a roadside bombing in Kabul.
The ministry said the blast in the western part of the capital damaged a civilian vehicle.
Taliban militants claimed responsibility for the attacks.
They came a day after a battle in the northern province of Sar-e-Pul that the governor said killed 23 militants and 14 Afghan security forces.
