Officials say Taliban militants fired a series of rockets at Afghanistan's parliament compound on March 28 as the top intelligence official and caretaker minister of interior were due to speak.
No casualties were reported from the attack claimed by the Taliban.
"Three rockets were fired at the parliament but they did not hit the main building," said Safiullah Muslim, a lawmaker from Badakhshan province. "It happened when the session was ongoing."
Rockets are occasionally fired at government and diplomatic areas in Kabul.
There had been a decline in deadly attacks in the Afghan capital in recent months.
