Deadly Roadside Bombings Target Police In Afghanistan

Afghan officials said separate roadside bombs targeting police vehicles killed at least ten people on April 6.

The deadliest of the two blasts happened in the Qarabakh district, located some 50 kilometers north of Kabul.

Farid Afzali, head of Kabul Police Criminal Investigation Office said the bombing killed four police officers and two civilians. Two others were injured in the blast.

In northern Baghlan Province, police said a second roadside bomb killed four police officers. They said two other police officers were wounded in the attack.

There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attacks.

However, Taliban insurgents often use roadside bombs in their campaign against the government.
