A car bomb has exploded outside a private hospital in Kabul, killing 10 people and injuring at least 60.
A Health Ministry spokesman said at least nine civilians and one foreigner were killed in the incident.
Officials say the target of the bomb was a foreigners' convoy and some reports say at least one foreign contractor was killed.
Several vehicles were also destroyed by the explosion.
The blast shattered the windows of Shinozada hospital, which is described as Afghanistan’s first private hospital.
The explosion on August 22 could be heard across the city. The heavily fortified U.S. Embassy, which is located a few kilometers away, sounded its emergency sirens and loudspeakers.
