Afghan officials said Taliban militants have attacked a government compound in the eastern city of Ghazni.
Ghazni Deputy Governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi said a suicide attacker detonated his vehicle packed with explosives at the back of the National Directorate of Security office, and other militants followed behind trying to storm the building.
Ahmadi said at least three civilians and one policeman were killed and some 60 others wounded.
Ghazni Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada said at least eight of the militants were killed by security forces.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack
