Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has gained a place to study at Oxford University.
The announcement came on August 17, the day that students across Britain received the results of their A-levels, exams taken at the end of secondary school.
Yousafzai, who lives in Birmingham, congratulated in a tweet all students getting their results.
“So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students -- the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!” she wrote.
The 20-year-old will be studying philosophy, politics, and economics.
Others to have studied the same course at Oxford, one of the world's top universities, include the late Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
Yousafzai, a Pakistani education activist who came to prominence when a Taliban militant shot her in the head in 2012, won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize along with Kailash Satyarthi of India.
In April, she was named the youngest ever United Nations Messenger of Peace.
