Officials say gunmen have attacked four vehicles carrying NATO supplies for Afghanistan in Pakistan's northwest, killing two people.

The vehicles came under fire in the Jamrud area of Khyber, one of seven districts of Pakistan's semiautonomous tribal belt.

Jehangir Azam Wazir, a senior local administration official, said the four trucks were attacked by four gunmen riding two motorbikes. The attackers fled the scene.

No group has admitted responsibility, but the Taliban has in the past claimed such attacks to disrupt supplies for U.S.-led international troops fighting in Afghanistan.
