Pakistan Military Targets Militants

The Pakistani military says it has carried out air strikes on suspected militant targets in the Tirah Valley along the border with Afghanistan.

A statement by the military said at least 15 suspected militants were killed in the raids early on June 10.

The military said "nine terrorist hideouts were destroyed."

The military action came one day after the Taliban launched an attack on the country's busiest airport that killed at least 35 people.

Militants armed with assault rifles, grenades, and rocket launchers stormed a terminal at Karachi international airport late on June 8.
