The Taliban has released a 17-minute video showing the handover of U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl to U.S. forces in eastern Afghanistan.
Bergdahl was exchanged on May 31 for five Taliban prisoners being held at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay.
The video shows Bergdahl seated in a white pickup truck. Armed militants are stationed on a hillside as U.S. helicopters come into view.
One helicopter lands and Bergdahl is led by his captors to three men in civilian clothing who get out of the helicopter. The men shake the Taliban members' hands before leading Bergdahl to the helicopter.
Bergdahl was the only U.S. soldier held by enemy combatants in Afghanistan. He was captured in June 2009.
The Obama administration has apologized to key lawmakers for not notifying them about the exchange ahead of time.
