A powerful blast has rocked Kabul, the second explosion of the day to hit the Afghan capital.
Witnesses said the blast on January 4 occurred near Kabul International Airport, hours after a suicide bomber blew himself up near a police checkpoint near the airport.
A police official told Reuters that the blast appeared to come from a vehicle bomb near a compound for contractors close to the airport.
Police said there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Earlier in the day, a suicide bomber struck a street leading to Kabul airport, but no casualties were reported besides the attacker.
The incidents comes amid a spike in attacks in Kabul, where two people were killed and 15 injured after a restaurant was targeted by a suicide bomber on New Year's day.
