Three Police Killed In Suicide Attack In Southern Afghanistan

Afghan officials say at least three police officers have been killed and 10 others injured when a car bomb struck their convoy in southern Afghanistan.

Farid Ahmad Obaid, the police spokesman for the southern province of Helmand, said the suicide bomber hit a convoy of police officers near Grishk district on January 18.

Provincial governor's spokesman Omar Zwak said that no civilian casualty was reported in the incident.

Meanwhile, a bomb attached to a civilian car blew up in Kandahar on January 18, injuring two civilians.

No one has claimed responsibility for either attack.
