Afghan officials say a suicide car bomber targeted NATO forces in the eastern part of the capital, Kabul, on July 7.
Authorities say the car bomber detonated his explosives-laden vehicle after driving it near a convoy of foreign troops.
Kabul police spokesman Ebadullah Karimi said three people were injured -- including at least one civilian and the driver of an armored vehicle with foreign troops.
NATO said none of its troops was killed by the attack.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack in Kabul’s Shah Shaheed area.
It was the second such attack in a week targeting a convoy of foreign forces in the Afghan capital.
There are about 9,800 U.S. troops remaining in Afghanistan -- down from a peak of about 100,000 in 2011.
The majority of U.S. troops there are training Afghan forces, but a contingent of a few thousand is still engaged in combat.
