A militant group in Pakistan's volatile North Waziristan tribal district says a peace accord with the Pakistani government has been revoked.

Leaflets distributed by the group on May 30 accuse the government of breaking the peace accord with the North Waziristan Taliban and planning to launch a military operation against the militants.

The leaflets urge people to leave the area by June 10 and move to safety.

They warned people not to seek shelter in government-operated camps, however, and instead to move close to the Afghan border.

The group, led by Hafiz Gul Bahadar, also said it will stop sending fighters to Afghanistan and instead focus on fighting against Pakistani government forces in North Waziristan.

The leaflets call upon local tribesmen to either leave the area or join the militants.
