A suicide bomber in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, blew up a government vehicle on November 16, killing 4 people and injuring 11, officials said.

The suicide bomber was on foot in the Pul-e Mahmood Khan area near the Afghan Defense Ministry compound, said Sediq Sediqi, a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry.

Officials said the white van targeted belonged to the country's National Directorate of Security, the Afghan spy agency.

No group has claimed responsibility for the assault, but Taliban insurgents have recently increased their attacks against Afghan security forces across the country.
