Afghan Security Forces Battle Taliban In Kunduz

Additional troops moved in to the city of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan on September 29 after Taliban fighters captured the provincial capital a day earlier. Officials said that the government forces had retaken the city prison and the police headquarters from the Taliban fighters, who had freed hundreds of their fellow militants from jail. (Reuters)
