Three months after the Taliban seized power in Kabul, high schools remain closed to girls in all but two Afghan provinces. Taliban leaders have said that all female students can study if classes are held in accordance with their strict interpretation of Islamic law, but they have yet to issue a clear policy. In Farah Province, educators at one school are calling on the Taliban to allow them to resume classes, even as some teachers of younger students say they haven't been paid for months.
