Pakistani officials say at least two soldiers were killed when militants on the Afghan side of the border fired on Pakistani border posts.

The militants attacked the Manozangal and Mukha Tops border posts in Pakistan's Bajaur tribal region on June 4.

Pakistani troops have been attacking militants in that area for the last two weeks. Afghan officials have complained that hundreds of rockets and artillery shells have landed in Afghanistan since that fighting started.

Inside Afghanistan, meanwhile, officials in southern Helmand Province said four policemen were killed when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb during an operation in Sangin district.

In northwestern Faryab Province, at least three civilians, including a woman, were killed and 12 others injured in an explosion.

Faryab Deputy Governor Abdul Sattar Barez said it was unclear if it was a roadside bomb or a suicide attack.
