Italian Archeologists Restore Damaged Buddha Statue In Pakistan
Italian archeologists have recently restored a statue of the Buddha in Pakistan's Swat Valley. It is believed to be the second tallest statue in the region. The tallest ones were destroyed by the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001, and Swat residents feel it is essential to preserve this statue and its symbolic meaning.
