Malala Yousafzai and Afghan National Cycling Team member Salma Kakar have made "Time" magazine's annual list of the world's most influential teenagers.
U.S. President Barack Obama's daughters Malia and Sasha and reality TV star sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner are among others on the unranked list, the magazine announced on October 13.
Malala, who was shot by the Taliban for championing the right of girls to an education, shared this year's Nobel Peace Prize with an Indian activist.
Kakar, 17, has spoken about her dream of waving Afghanistan's flag at the Olympics.
She has faced harassment and verbal abuse in the conservative society where many consider it improper and un-Islamic for women to ride bicycles.
Time said it compiled its list of 25 teens – 29, counting accolades shared by siblings and partners – by analyzing teenagers' business success, cultural importance, and social media following.
Twenty of those listed are female.
