At least six people have been killed and three others wounded when two roadside bomb blasts struck a motorcycle and a minibus in the northwest tribal region of Mohmand near the Afghan border.
Officials said the blasts occurred minutes apart on November 7.
The first explosion hit the motorbike, killing the son of a peace committee elder.
The second bomb struck a passenger van, killing five people.
Peace committee volunteers help the government in their efforts against militants.
The Pakistani Taliban splinter group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaat Ahrar claimed responsibility.
Mohmand is located 100 kilometers northwest of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province.
It is also lies near the Khyber tribal region, where the Pakistani army has been carrying out an operation against militants since last month.
