Officials say that four boys and three soldiers were killed in separate bomb attacks in Pakistan.

Police said that the four boys, who were students at a religious seminary in the southern city of Karachi, were aged between 10 and 15.

More than a dozen students were injured in the attack.

Separately, the military said three soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb hit an army convoy in the tribal region near the Afghan border thought to be the hub of Islamist militants linked with Al-Qaeda.

The attack occurred on the boundary of the South and North Waziristan tribal districts.

No group claimed immediate responsibility for either attack, but the Taliban has been behind the bombing of military convoys in the past.
